Tomorrow I leave for a week-long trip in the jungle. I will stay in a jungle lodge and do day trips into the jungle. I really hope to see a lot of animals and birds. This jungle happens to be the Kanha National Park famous for the Tiger. So I also hope to catch a glimpse of the elusive tiger!
Earlier this year India was considering a proposal to ban Tiger Tourism. The argument was that the tiger is being 'loved to death' with hordes of tourists swarming the jungle. I would rather believe that there is a better way to manage the tourists, and there should be strict control on the unauthorized encroachment of forest land.
What's your opinion on Tiger Tourism? Do you like visiting the jungle and did you ever see the tiger?
